Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding valid ordinary passports, in sound physical and mental health, with strong academic performance and conduct. Applicants must hold a high school diploma or above and meet the academic requirements of the selected program. Self-funded applicants must be over 18 and under 30; scholarship applicants must be over 18 and under 25. All undergraduate applicants must submit a valid CSCA transcript; arts applicants must also submit a portfolio.

Language

Chinese-taught programs require HSK Level 4 with a score of 210 or above; selected programs require HSK Level 5. Non-native English speakers applying to English-taught programs need IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 80, proof of previous English-medium education, or more than one year of study in an English-speaking country.

Application path

Select a program from the official 2026 undergraduate program list and confirm its CSCA subjects. Prepare passport, notarized diploma, transcripts, CSCA report, language proof, physical examination, and an 800-word personal statement. Apply through Chongqing University's official international application system by May 31, 2026. Complete qualification review, academic review, and an interview if shortlisted.

Application deadline: May 31, 2026 Beijing Time; individual scholarship deadlines may be earlier. Full-time undergraduate programs last four to five years and are offered in Chinese or English. Chongqing connects students to automotive, electronics, construction, logistics, and western China business.
